Rules and regulations
  1. NIRANJAN School is an English Medium Co-Educational Senior Secondary school.
  2. As per NEP 2020, the 5+3+3+4 pattern of education has been adopted. The new system incorporates play school within the realm of "formal education," combining nursery and kindergarten classes with classes 1 and 2.
    • Foundational stage for 5 years for ages-3 to 8 years old The foundational level of education will consist of three years of preschool education i.e classes Nursery, Lower KG and Upper KG, followed by two years of primary school i.e. classes 1 and 2.
    • Preparatory stage for 3 years for ages-8 to 11 years old This level will include clases 3, 4 and 5.
    • Middle stage for 3 years for ages-11 to 14 years old. This level will include classes 6, 7 and 8.
    • Secondary stage for four years for ages-14 to 18 years old Classes 9 and 10, 11 and 12, will be covered in this level.
  3. On completion of one stage successfully, a pupil is re-admitted to the next higher stage unless the T.C is sought one month before the promotion exams.
  4. Every pupil must possess the School hand book from the School Fee Counter after Payment of the Annual Fees at the time of admission/re-admission.
  5. To acquire a greater facility in English,it is compulsory that pupils must speak in English within premises of the School.
  6. The School classes start at 9.00 A.M, Assembly at 8.45 A.M, and it is expected that all pupils be punctual and reach the schoolat 8.35 A.M. In pursuance of the resolution taken by the management and parents' consent that no student will be allowed to enter the school premises, as the gate will be closed at 8:45 am( Assembly prayer bell) and school authority will not be responsible for it. Notice had been posted in English, Assamese and Hindi language in the school Notice board since October 2019 as well as in the information leaflet.
  7. It is compulsory for pupils to come to School in proper School uniform.
  8. It is responsibility of the Parent/ Guardian to bring their child to the school and take them back home or arrange proper escort for their children. It is also compulsory for parent/ gaurdian to be present in the P.T.A meetings conducted by the school.
  9. Parents/Gaurdians should see that the child is properly cleaned and dressed and that the child begins to learn the rules of personal hygiene. Open Day is reserved for parents to check the answer script of the Half- yearly exam.
  10. Ornaments, Jewellery, expensive watches, mobile phone etc. are not allowed to be worn in the school.
  11. No pupil should be absent from School without any valid ground. For all absences the parents/guardian should state the reason for leave of absence in the School Calender for the class teacher's knowledge.
  12. Pupils failing to have 85% attendance may not be allowed to appear for the annual exams. In the case of long illness, a proper medical certificate is necessary.
  13. Irregular attendance, insubordination to teachers and any kind of cheating in exam or serious misconduct in or outside the School are sufficient reasons for dismissal of a pupil from the School.
  14. Admission is generally given within the month of April. The academic year ends in March.
  15. Nursery and Kindergarten classes are three in one and as such it is a Pre-primary stage, a duration of three years. If the teacher feels that the learning of a child is too slow and the improvement is not upto the mark, he or she will be given six months or one year time as deemed necessary to attain the required standard of achivement.
  16. Normally a child's age in Nursery class should be three years, in Class, I, six years. Birth certificate of a new entrant must be attached with the admission form at the time of admission.
  17. If one comes for admission from any other School, a Transfer Certificate (T.C), Mark-Sheet of the last Annual Examination taken and a Good-Conduct certificate from the Head of the previous School are required.
  18. The School's Annual fees must be paid at the time of admission/re-admission. Monthly Tuition Fees and other dues will have to paid regularly on scheduled dates of the month.
  19. For non-payment of School Fees, a pupil may either not be allowed to appear for examinations or the result are withheld. The School Fees cover twelve calendar months. No reduction is made for holidays or broken periods.
  20. Annually two examinations are held (Half-Yearly & Annual Exams) and series of Unit Tests & Weekly Class Tests. Fees for the examinations are payable separately.
  21. The result of the Unit Tests and Weekly Tests are taken into consideration along with the result of the two examinations while declaring the result for promotion in the month of March. It is hence compulsory for a pupil to appear and perform well in the Unit Tests.
  22. The result of the Annual/Promotion examination once decided and declared are final and cannot be re-considered. A pupil failing in the same class for two consecutive years will be given a T.C.
  23. School Fees and other dues are liable to be revised.
  24. The progress Report Card of the pupil is issued for the parent's knowledge. The SIGNATURE of the parent/guardian should be put in the appropriate places.
  25. Parents/Guardians are not allowed to enter the class-rooms or meet teachers during School hours.
  26. Pupils are advised not to break, destroy or damage any School properties. Any pupils found doing so will be fined for the damages or other appropriate steps in deserving cases may be taken for which the decision of the School Authority be final and binding.
  27. No pupil will directy take part in any political activities nor indulge in any sort of activities prejudical to their studies and reputation of the school.
  28. A School Leaving Certificate or a Transfer Certificate is issued only when a pupil has no arrear fees to pay.
  29. Any Parents/Guardians asking for a T.C. (Transfer Certificate) for their wards in the mid-session of a academic year, will have to clear all the fees till the end of the acedemic session i.e March within fifteen days from the date of receipt of written application from the Parent/Guardian.
  30. Any communication, correspondence, requests or complaint should be made to the Principal or the Vice Principal. The decision of the Principal in such matters will be required to be treated as final and binding.

General notes to parents

  • To avoid heavy workload at the time of exams, parents, guardians should ensure that their child devotes at least three hours of study at home.
  • Their child be present for the weekly revision/self assessment tests held by respective Subject Teachers.
  • Home work assigned be done regularly by the child.
  • Go through the school notice board for general information.
  • Training the child in self-control in the use of TV,Mobile, Video games,Internet etc.

Discipline

80% attendance must for every student during an academic session. Failing to do so he/she may not be allowed to sit in the Final Examination.

Students admitted to this school must follow all the rules and regulations laid down by the school authority. Violation of rules, irregular attendance, showing discourtesy to the members of the staff (Administrative & Teaching staff) in any form, adopting unfair means in examination will be severely dealt with.

Ragging

Ragging is strictly prohibited. Students found guilty of such activities will either be suspended or expelled from the school.

Important rules

  • Two wheelers (except bicycles) owned by students will not be allowed inside the School campus.
  • Mobile phones and other valuables like jewellery will not be allowed inside the School Campus.
  • Students will not take part directly or indirectly in any political activities that may be prejudicial to their studies and good name of the School.
  • Students will not be allowed to leave the school campus during short recessions or breaks in between classes.
  • The school authority hence will not entertain any complaint regarding loss of mobiles or other valuables. Any problems faced by the students should be brought to the notice of the Principal / School Authority.
  • The students must carry their identity cards duly signed by the Principal and is to be produced as and when asked for.
  • Students shall take proper care of the school property, furniture and premises. They must not cause any damage or tamper with School property, furniture and fittings. Any student found doing so will be fined for the damages or appropriate steps in deserving cases may be taken for which the decision of the School Authority will be final and binding.
  • Students willing to discontinue during the academic year have to clear all the school dues for the whole academic year.
  • Annual Fees and other dues will have to be paid for the whole academic year at the time of admission/ readmission in the school.
  • All terms and conditions given in this prospectus, including fees and dues etc. are liable to be changed from year to year. Fees once paid are not refundable.

Uniform

The College uniform is strictly compulsory. Every student must come to the School in full uniform and maintain proper dress code.
